The 1997 film is a relic of the early days of Paul Thomas Anderson’s career  that jump-started the high-profile fame for many celebrities. Mark Wahlberg (The Basketball Diaries, The Departed) plays Eddie Adams/Dirk Diggler. Burt Reynolds (The Longest Yard, Smokey and the Bandit) plays Jack Horner. John C. Reilly (What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, Magnolia) plays Reed Rothchild. Boogie Nights is a gem of a dramatic comedy aiming on the adult film industry through the talent of a young stud from a broken home. This 90s classic brings in a lot more conversation in its 4K UHD special features. Purchase or Pass?

This is definitely worth the money. As one who loves the many films of Paul Thomas Anderson, I was able to  gain a much better perspective of his essence as a director when he was in the process of directing Boogie Nights. The party felt like it never stopped with the special features and discussions. The 4K extras keep reminding its audiences of key moments and the time frame of how Boogie Nights gained its popularity. Despite the many raunchy components, the classiness is presented in more cinematic portraits of amazement.
