Top Gun, The Moments in the Sky still Soar with Wonders:
After the theatrical sensation of Top Gun:Maverick (2022), I had to revisit Tony Scott’s Top Gun. Both of which are playing in different formats in different cinema chains around the world for a limited time. The rerelease of the original film is to celebrate its 40 year anniversary. The iconic lines, “I feel the need for speed,” still stick with me deeply after being part of this nostalgic and spellbinding experience. The IMAX format of Top Gun soars with brilliance and a form of heroism that the world still lives for. With Tom Cruise (The Outsiders, Risky Business) as Maverick, Val Kilmer (TOP Secret!, Real Genius), and Anthony Edwards (Revenge of the Nerds, The Sure Thing) as Goose, all their pilot moments make the IMAX experience feel extra special. That is because their famous and memorable quotes echo through the thundering backdrop of fighter jets in a way that only IMAX can deliver.

Worth the time?
The large premium format is definitely worth the time and money. Even if fans have seen Tony Scott’s iconic 80’s masterpiece multiple times, this experience surpasses expectations.
