One of the Best Sequels in Cinema History Feels Action-Packed in 3D

Celebrating 35-years, The James Cameron epic, Terminator 2: Judgment Day is back in cinemas. Thanks to Fathom Entertainment and Studio Canal, Cameron’s sci-fi classic is back in a wide range of formats. Ranging from 4k, 3D, and more. I had the opportunity to experience Terminator 2: Judgment Day in 3D. I have seen The Terminator (1984) at the BFI Southbank cinema in London, and that was truly surreal. After seeing Terminator 2: Judgment Day in 3D at the Oakbrook AMC, I felt my world was rocked. That is because I felt every car chase, shotgun blast, and stunning liquid metal transformation in stunning 3D.

Special Features:

Before the film, audiences get a chance to hear a few words from Cameron about the making of the movie. There are also a few words with Robert Patrick (Behind Enemy Lines, Eye of the Eagle) who plays T-1000, and he talks about how his role made Terminator 2: Judgment Day an unforgettable experience. Finally, there are also conversations with Edward Furlong (Detroit Rock City, Animal Factory), as he discusses how rewarding it was to play John Connor alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in one of the most enticing sequels of all time. So much that it is a treasure is heard from many who were part of the monumental achievements surrounding Terminator 2: Judgment Day. The stories from the actors and the director combined is what makes for one exhilarating adventure. For audiences who have seen the film multiple times or those that are experiencing it for the first time.

Worth the time?

Every moment and every ounce of this sequel is worth the big screen experience. I loved the 3D ratios of the film. Cameron’s use of filmmaking and 3D always provides a layer of realism that continues to stand-out. Even for a movie that was released over 3 decades ago.
