Ocean’s Eleven, The Dynamics are Still Classy:
From Fathom Entertainment and Warner Bros, this is Ocean’s Eleven. Directed by Steven Soderbergh (Erin Brockovich, Traffic), it is a heist film that continues to create memorable moments based upon its plot and the dynamics of its all-star cast. Featuring a plot that involves robbing three Las Vegas casinos simultaneously, in order to walk with $150 million in cash. This is a fun and frenetic film, featuring George Clooney (Out of Sight, The Thin Red Line) is Danny Ocean, Brad Pitt (12 Monkeys, Fight Club) is Rusty Brown, Julia Roberts (Pretty Woman, My Best Friend’s Wedding) is Tess Ocean, and Matt Damon (Good Will Hunting, The Talented Mr. Ripley) is Linus. Many different individuals with different mindsets hoped to pull a heist successfully, and the direction of Soderbergh created a franchise.

Before the film, historian and critic Leonard Maltin talks about how the all-star cast built a friendship and how there was inspiration from Soderbergh. Maltin goes into detail about how Soderbergh had usages of pseudonyms in the making of the film. To clarify, Soderbergh likes to hide the fact that he is behind every aspect around every element of his movies. This includes his editing, writing, and arranging. Even though he credits other filmmakers, he is still adding layers. The hidden elements and eras of success create invigorating excitement before the film itself with Fathom Entertainment. There was a great deal of in-depth talk about how the franchise continued with the other two films, Ocean’s 12 (2004) and Ocean’s 13 (2007).
Worth the time?
Although, the event has passed. The background of this espionage comedy I found compelling and fascinating. The classiness of Ocean’s Eleven I could not dismiss.
