Pan’s Labyrinth, the 3D Experience is a Maze:
From Fathom Entertainment, and Cineverse, Pan’s Labyrinth returns on the big screen celebrating its 20-year anniversary. Directed by Guillermo del Toro (The Devil’s Backbone, Hellboy), he brings us to a world where fairytales are in a dark world of mind-blowing imaginations. With a little girl named Ofelia, she is one that finds herself on a journey to unlock magical doors. Ofelia is played by Ivana Baquero. From ferries, giant frogs, and magical missions, the world of Pan’s Labyrinth has its adventure stick out to its audience in the 3D format. From ferries flying into the audience, and the continuity of tunnels and spaces, it is like an inevitable maze with the added 3D component.
Special Features:
Before the feature, Director Guillermo del Toro speaks about how he feels his world of Pan’s Labyrinth still feels special to him and why his love for 3D played into the re-release. In addition the acclaimed Mexican director explains that the 3D rendering was accomplished by artisans carefully converting the film frame by frame rather than by using AI or artificial software. Audiences will get a chance to hear words from an inspiring director before the movie begins. His words will speak on the level of an exhilarating experience to be revisited.
Worth the time?
I found the event well worth the time and money. That is because I love fantasy, and I know the direction of Guillermo del Toro has enchantments all around. I found the 3D experience to be spellbinding. The film is also in many other formats ranging from HDR, 3D, and many more. Visit the Fathom website and find the format that speaks to you the most with revisiting Pan’s Labyrinth.
